Trade Marketing Manager

Purpose of the Job

The Trade Marketing Manager provides strategic and commercial leadership to drive sustainable brand and portfolio growth across channels. This role owns trade marketing strategy, investment governance, and ROI delivery, acting as a key business partner to Principals while leading effective go‑to‑market, and channel marketing execution. With full accountability for trade performance, the role works closely with Sales, Brand, and E‑Commerce teams to strengthen in‑market execution, optimize P&L results, and support long‑term business expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and strengthen strong, collaborative relationships with Principals and key stakeholders, acting as a strategic business partner to support long‑term partnership growth
  • Lead the development and execution of go‑to‑market and channel marketing strategies across multiple channels, including chain and independent pet shops, e‑retailers, and FMCG outlets
  • Own and manage trade marketing budgets with disciplined investment governance to drive commercial performance and achieve business and profitability targets
  • Define, recommend, and execute pricing and promotional strategies to support revenue growth, margin objectives, and channel roles
  • Lead analysis of channel performance, market dynamics, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities and continuously refine commercial and execution strategies
  • Lead end‑to‑end new product launches by developing channel‑specific go‑to‑market plans, coordinating trade activation, pricing, promotions, and post‑launch performance reviews
  • Partner closely with Brand, Sales, and E‑Commerce teams to align strategy and ensure effective execution of integrated promotional and activation plans
  • Oversee the development of trade POSM and toolkits, ensuring strong brand consistency, execution excellence, and effective in‑market deployment
  • Track, analyze, and evaluate key trade marketing KPIs (e.g. promotion ROI, sell‑out uplift, trade effectiveness) to support data‑driven decision‑making and P&L optimization
  • Support strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline
  • 10+ years’ experience in Trade Marketing, ideally with FMCG background; Pet industry experience is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable trade strategies
  • Commercially minded with strong negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills
  • Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English
