Supply Chain Manager

工作目的

This position is responsible for establishing and optimising the end-to-end supply chain process from overseas purchase orders through to receipt by customers in China. It requires efficient process tracking and timely goods receipt and delivery in line with business needs, ensuring compliance at every stage while continuously improving efficiency and cost effectiveness.

职责

• Liaise with brand principals and the Merchandising team to develop supply plans based on sales forecasts and purchasing plans;
• Oversee the execution of supply plans and manage the end-to-end order process to ensure timely delivery of goods;
• Manage transportation and customs matters, ensuring compliant and efficient first-line and second-line customs clearance and the conversion of cross-border e-commerce imports to general trade imports;
• Manage third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and coordinate with brand principals and operating partners to optimise processes, provide end-to-end data visibility, monitor lead times by stage, and conduct regular reviews and root cause analyses;
• Manage purchasing, sales and inventory data, and drive improvements in the compatibility of internal and external systems;
• Monitor inventory and submit reports, regularly updating inventory reports in line with brand requirements, analysing stock ageing and turnover, and establishing early-warning mechanisms to maintain healthy inventory levels;
• Develop stocktake plans, lead annual and quarterly stocktakes, analyse variances and implement corrective actions;
• Manage the end-to-end returns process, coordinate put-away and exception handling, and drive process improvements;
• Manage suppliers and control costs, including the calculation and reconciliation of warehousing, logistics, customs and other third-party supplier charges, as well as cost optimisation;
• Work with Finance to provide monthly accruals for relevant expenses, customs duty forecasts and required filings;
• Manage interfaces between the internal ERP system and third-party supplier or platform systems;
• Undertake other duties assigned by the line manager and provide support within the department.

要求

• Bachelor’s degree or above; a major in international trade, logistics management, supply chain management, customs affairs or a related discipline is preferred;
• At least five years’ relevant experience in import supply chain operations within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry; experience in importing pet food or animal feed is preferred;
• Experience in import supply chain operations across multiple brands and platforms, such as Tmall, Tmall Global, Douyin Cross-border and JD Worldwide;
• Familiarity with the operating procedures and customs regulatory differences between cross-border e-commerce retail imports and general trade imports;
• Knowledge of the requirements for completing China Customs declaration forms and classifying goods under HS codes;
• Self-motivation, resilience and accountability, with the initiative to drive process improvements and project delivery;
• Good time-management and project-management skills;
• Good cross-functional communication and coordination skills, together with team-management capability;
• Good written English;
• Strong numerical acumen and data-analysis skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel; SQL or business intelligence (BI) skills are preferred;
• Familiarity with mainstream cross-border e-commerce ERP systems; experience of building supply chain standard operating procedures (SOPs) from scratch or delivering an ERP migration project is preferred.
