Senior Finance Manager

Purpose of the Job

To lead the Group’s financial reporting and consolidation process, delivering accurate and timely report and insights to support management decision-making and overall business performance and drive business performance. To support value creation through strong financial controls, Group-level finance initiatives and involvement in M&A activities across the deal lifecycle, including financial evaluation and post-deal integration to ensure delivery of expected business value. 

Responsibilities

• Lead Group-level monthly financial reporting and consolidation, ensuring accurate and timely preparation and review of financial analyses and commentary on business performance, key drivers and risks to support management decision-making.
• Oversee the accounting operations of headquarters’ entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting while providing insights on cost efficiency, working capital and overall financial performance.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and financial governance to Business Lines, ensuring compliance while balancing business needs and commercial objectives.
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls across the Group’s entities with a focus on protecting value while enabling business growth.
• Liaise with external auditors for the Group’s statutory audit, ensuring a smooth audit process, high-quality financial reporting and strong governance to maintain stakeholder confidence
• Support M&A activities across the deal lifecycle, including financial evaluation, modelling and due diligence, deal structure of investment proposals to assess commercial viability.
• Support post-deal integrations ensuring alignment of financial reporting, systems and control.
• Support the enhancement of financial systems and internal controls to build a strong data foundation, improve visibility on performance and support faster, better-informed business decisions.
• Perform ad-hoc assignments, if required.

Requirements

• University graduate in Accounting or Business Administration
• Professional qualification of HKICPA, ACCA or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in sizable organizations, Big 4 or International CPA firm experience is a definite advantage
• Solid knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations in HK and PRC
• Solid group consolidation experience
• Experience in M&A is an advantage
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Team player, good communication and problem solving skills
• High integrity, ownership mindset and sound professional judgement
• Proactive and able to work under pressure and independently
• High proficiencies in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Hands-on experience with preferably Oracle ERP, Qlikview or other business intelligence systems
• Occasional travel to PRC may be required
