Sales Planning Manager

Purpose of the Job

The primary function of this role is to provide and execute sales planning strategies by evaluating and identifying risks and opportunities in the various sales channels we operate in. By analysing various sources of data s/he should be able to come up with insightful conclusions and be able to build coherent, intelligent and impactful reports. S/he has to be a motivated problem solvers who can assist the business leader to drive profitability via data-driven insights.


Sales Planning and Business Partnering
•    Responsible for the sales planning and co-ordination of this plan for the business division
•    Develop and implement a comprehensive business intelligence and analytics to support business performance, objectives and drive data-driven decision-making processes
•    Responsible for wide range of business analysis, perform analytics and provide insights on business performance, includes but not limited to channel performance, category performance, salesman performance
•    Identify business opportunities and risks and be able to devise a plan to capitalize/mitigate them
•    Handle ad-hoc business requests on information or data analysis

Reporting and Operations
•    Compile business reports and presentation to support the General Manager for budget planning and sales review meetings
•    Coordinate sales forecasting with different channel leaders and Marketing team and work closely with demand planning
•    Monitor pricing to ensure all channels are in line with approved guidelines
•    Play a key role in process simplification and automation initiatives

Champion of SFA and Analytics tools
•    Monitor the data in the Sales Management System and ensure data integrity, data governance, and the seamless integration of data from various sources into different commercial and sales management platforms.
•    Provide first line support for data issues with close communication with IT team, maintain best practices for Data Management and provide support where necessary for projects
•    Collaborate with IT team to design and manage the development of data models, dashboards, and reports to visualize and communicate complex data insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization


•    Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business or other related disciplines
•    At least 8 years of relevant experience in FMCG and/or F&B (highly preferable) in an analytical position
•    Strong business acumen and strategic orientation to distill relevant insights 
•    Strong expertise in business intelligence and analytics tools such as Power BI or similar platforms
•    Experience in Salesforce is a plus
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
•    Ability to work independently
•    Proactive person who thrives in a cross-functional, cross-cultural and dynamic team environment
•    Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese
•    Proficient in MS office (Excel and PowerPoint in particular) and Oracle
