Sales Manager

Purpose of the Job

The role is responsible leading a team for driving revenue and profitability by developing sales building blocks, executing channel-specific plans, and maintaining precise sales and demand forecasts for effective tracking and resource allocation. It focuses heavily on expanding market presence through securing new business, negotiating profitable trade terms, and nurturing strong commercial relationships with both major pet retail chains and boutique pet stores. Additionally, the position requires close collaboration with marketing on product launches and promotions, leveraging competitor insights to maximize gross profit, while tightly managing client accounts receivable to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales building block and execute the sales plan, including revenue and GP targets by channel and customers
  • Prepare and maintain accurate sales & demand forecasts for performance tracking, resource allocation, target and order
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with both pet chain retailing clients and boutique pet stores
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding brand’s market presence
  • Negotiate trade terms, pricing and contracts in line with profitability goal
  • Collaborate with marketing team to ensure seamless product launches and promotional activities
  • Propose recommendations to drive sales & GP based on market trends and competitor activitie

Closely monitor the AR status of clients to ensure AR arrangement meet the company requirements

Requirements

•    Degree holder or above in any discipline
•    10-year experience in distribution/ FMCG industry; experience in pet industry will be an advantage
•    Solid trade relationships and connections, strong in negotiation and account management skills
•    Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
•    Hands-on experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
•    Result-driven, excellent communication and influencing skills
•    Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Sales Manager
