Merchandising Assistant

Purpose of the Job

The Merchandising Assistant is responsible for assisting Senior Merchandiser in managing profitable merchandise in assigned categories & sub-categories. This role contributes to supporting Senior Merchandiser to maximise sales and ensure the merchandise aligns with the company’s business goals and consumer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Senior Merchandiser to identify and source merchandise of assigned category and sub-category to maximise sales
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for Senior Merchandiser to develop, implement and monitor promotional and merchandising programmes
  • Conduct market research along with market price benchmarking, and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive factors, and customer preferences
  • Support to provide category update for all internal stakeholders, including the operation team, marketing team, E-commerce team, etc.
  • Assist Senior Merchandiser to coordinate with oversee suppliers and supply chain team and Jebsen Logistics to ensure on-time shipment and delivery
  • Handle ad-hoc projects and marketing duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree holder with 1 year of retail merchandising experience. Fresh Graduate is also welcomed.
  • Strong business acumen and sensitive to figures
  • Good communication skill and good command of English and Chinese
  • Experience in ERP, OMS and Oracle will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint are required
