Business Analyst

Purpose of the Job

The Business Analyst will work within the Group Information Technology division in Hong Kong, reporting to the Head of PMO.

This position has the responsibility to assist team and project manager to rollout a product & material testing management platform, work with internal and external partners on business process, translate business needs into future application requirement or process change. Manage User Acceptance Test and support go live change management.

Works well in a team environment, this person needs to have an enthusiastic character in problem solving, with detail oriented and analytical mind set.  

Responsibilities

  • Assist team and project manager to perform and complete assigned projects, tasks on time within budget with quality
  • Manage the communications with vendors and the business stakeholders
  • Participate in business process re-design and execute project activities during project implementation as delegated by the project leader
  • Collect, review, deliver and maintain business requirement documentation, functional specification and technical specification, throughout the project life cycle
  • Perform impact analysis on new change requests
  • Communicate business requirements to vendor
  • Be the gate keeper to ensure vendor and development teams deliver the implementations as agreed and up to quality standard
  • Key responsibilities include assisting in project management, managing vendor and stakeholder communications, performing business process re-design, and conducting user acceptance testing.
  • Provide status update to project manager on the assigned areas
  • Design & document to-be business process (end-to-end)/ user requirements / training materials up to quality standard
  • Track the effectiveness of application implementation through collecting end user feedback
  • Manage small tasks/projects on demand

Requirements

  • Qualifications include a university degree and 8+ years of experience in business process analysis, with preferred exposure to business application systems.
  • Good team player
  • Self-motivated with detail minded
  • Demonstrate good English and Chinese writing skills with good communication and presentation skills
  • Exposure to business application systems (e.g., OMS, TPM, CRM, ERP, POS, Mobile services) is preferred.
  • Ability to identify priority with good time and project management and think beyond the objective of assignment
  • Proactive engagement with customer focused mind-set
  • Think beyond the as-is process to provide recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Able to identify true customer need and how it brings value on company level
  • Have ownership and commitment in all assigned tasks; ask for support if there is any unresolved challenges or difficulties.
