Assistant Human Resources Manager

Purpose of the Job

This incumbent plays a key role in HR operation of the business lines. He/She is required to support the Head of HR to implement HR plans and initiatives based on the Business and Head of HR’s direction. Besides, the incumbent is accountable in executing and following up the progress of respective initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Build a strong business partnership with business leaders and managers and assist Head of HR to develop HR strategies to drive business initiatives, improve performance and enhance the overall employee experience
  • Perform full life cycle of an employee from onboarding, employee relations and off-boarding
  • Be the “go-to” person to liaise with and collaborate actively with hiring managers and internal recruitment team in JD discussion, exploration of recruitment channels and ensure effective recruitment process is in place
  • Work with line managers for contract renewal and probation arrangement
  • Provide advice and counsel to staff regarding HR practices, policies and regulatory requirement
  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives through partnering with business to develop engagement plan, design and implement activities and monitor progress
  • Identify, plan and assist in implementation of appropriate training & development programs (Online & Offline) to meet the objectives and requirements of the business line
  • Work closely with Group Talent Management & People & Organization Development Teams, support the implementation of different training & development initiatives
  • Support other ad hoc assignments when required to cope with evolving business needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in business, HR, psychology or relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 6-8 years' solid HR experience with 2 years business partnering experience
  • Well versed with local HR and related legislation and experienced in employee relations including but not limited to managing internal communication, handling employee relations with designing and implementing employee engagement and training programs
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible, detail-minded, well-organized, able to work independently. Hands on and passionate in working with people
  • Strong influencing and project management skills
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Proficient in PC skills (e.g. MS Office), experience in using design tools will be a plus
